About me

Hello, from Janet...

" Here is a bit about me... how did RE:NEWing Homeware come aboutOver the past 30 years, I have become a bit of an addict of refurbishing old properties.  For me, there is great joy in bringing something old into a sense of new life:  involving a lot of rolling up my sleaves and learning new skills!  With each project, I have practised how to apply & develop my skills with both creativity and sensitivity.

By sensitivity, I increasingly refer to being aware of the cost of things:
Cost-effectiveness & value for money is definitely an important consideration for me,
however, the greatest cost is our impact on the world from throwing things away.

If I can reduce the number of items going to waste by investing my time & effort into re:newing them, I feel that my work is incredibly worthwhile.  A new look, a new purpose... and a new life in a new home.

I trust that customers also benefit from re:newed homeware which in turn breathes new life and creativity into their homes!

I am a mixed-media creative, with skills in furniture upcycling and re-upholstery, stained glass, mosaics and interior design.  By merging these skills together, I like to work in colour and style themed collections, so that a selection of pieces can be enjoyed alongside one another in the home."
